Our Site

My 4 year old loved finding all different sounds in the woods and making his musical instruments. There was plenty opportunities to explore the different areas, such as the mud kitchen, construction area and time to have a go in the hammocks and toasted marshmallows in the fire pit

Since May 2018 Be Wild Forest School has operated in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside, just outside Stafford at Amerton Farm where we rent a site.

To access the Forest School area we have the pleasure of saying hello to lots of different animals including alpacas, reindeer, donkeys and chickens as we walk through the farm!

The site has lots to offer including:

  • a mud kitchen
  • a large, covered shelter
  • hammocks in the trees
  • swings and ropes
  • structure building materials
  • two log circle seating areas
  • a space for doing suction archery
  • a ‘golf-ball’ run (like a marble run but bigger!)
  • a see-through shelter and cable reels for mark making
  • a mud pit for digging
  • ‘wild’ areas for insect hunting
  • a ‘magic spell’ zone
  • a ‘sensory-fence-ory’: a trail where children use their senses to explore
  • a covered shelter
  • space for slack-lining
  • a ‘tuff spot’
  • fire pit and wood burner to keep us warm
  • a sound making wall
