We had such a wonderful time at the Be Wildlets toddler group. Lisa really captures the children’s attention and provides a great mixture of themed activities, free time to explore and circle time together. A real highlight for my little boy was watching the fire be lit and learning how to be safe around it and toast his crumpet. We have already recommended to our friends and can’t wait to return!Sarah, via Facebook
Be Wildlets is a Forest School session for parents or grandparents and little ones up to the age of 4. There is no minimum age but your child may have more fun if they can sit independently.
A typical session comprises of:
- a walk through the farm, looking at the animals, before getting to Lisa’s site
- a physical activity
- a craft, nature or construction activity
- time for independent play and exploration
- toasting a snack around the fire
- listening to a nature themed story
- walking back through the farm to to go home
Sessions are every Monday during term time. Extra sessions may occur on a weekend. We meet in the courtyard at Amerton Farm before walking to site. The session starts at 9.45 and finishes at 11.15. Each session is £7.50 per child and this includes a drink and snack for little ones and a hot drink for accompanying adults. Discounts are available for multiple bookings or for siblings.
My two year old and I had a superb time at Be Wild this morning. We had a fab session of worm themed activities which we thoroughly enjoyed and an excellent snack and drink was provided. We dressed up warmly and a snuggly blanket was provided for story time. I found the session really well structured for a toddler’s attention span. We will definitely be back!Mum, via Facebook
